Room One Friday 16th June

Friday 16th June in Room One

Perceptual Motor Programme

Every Friday morning we go down to the hall to take part in P.M.P.  This session is always a lot of fun and includes facets of music, fitness, dance and gymnastics in order to develop children's perceptions. The perceptions and judgments that are formed over time help determine how children react to their environment, to others, and to new ideas.

Dinosaur Measuring

The weather was fine and dry so we dashed outside with our chalk. From our research about dinosaurs we know how long some of them were. But what does that actually look like?
We drew a line as long as a T.Rex (14 metres) and then an even longer line for the 23 metre Apatosaurus. Being able to actually visualise the size of the dinosaurs was amazing!

Report Writing

Here are some of the excellent reports we wrote this week:

  1. Wow Room One! I learnt a lot about the size of dinosaurs from your photos. They're so big! It looks like you had fun drawing them!

  2. Thanks Mrs Sam :). Great to see the different, fun ways the children learn.
